As a Security Officer - Government Facility - Access Control in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific screening procedures and customer service standards at a government facility entrance.

Screen people and belongings using approved methods and equipment, verify identification and/or credentials, and help direct visitors to the appropriate locations.

Monitor access points and surrounding entry areas, document unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry through consistent screening practices.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate personnel and following emergency response activities when appropriate.

Complete required logs, incident reports, and pass-down communication in a timely manner in support of Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 2 or more years of security experience.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
