- Perform refrigeration service and repair activities on Evapcold low charge ammonia packages installed in the field at food and beverage, cold storage, pharmaceutical and related facilities.
- Provide service support to Evapco's industrial refrigeration customers installing and maintaining the Evapcold systems, as well as technical support to the Evapcold production and assembly line in Greenup.
- This includes a working knowledge of screw compressors, refrigeration system components, electrical troubleshooting common types of ammonia systems & control/alarm systems.
- Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.
- Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction.
- Position will be based out of Evapco's Greenup, IL manufacturing plant but requires regular travel to Evapcold project installations in the US and Canada.
- RETA operator or technician certifications a plus.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive work experience in ammonia refrigeration service.
- Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift objects up to fifty pounds.
- Must be able to pass physical examination and possible Respirator Fit Testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, detail oriented and highly motivated.
- Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required.
- Basic computer skills (electronic documentation).
