    Payroll Specialist - Monday-Friday - 8:00am-4:30pm

    ***MINIMUM 3YRS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED***

    Under the general direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will support the processing of multiple payrolls for the health system. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely processing and auditing necessary to produce an accurate payroll. In addition, the Payroll Specialist provides positive customer services in responding to payroll/payment issues.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

    Required:


    • High School Education/GED some college preferred


    • 3 to 5 years' payroll experience using an automated time and attendance system.


    • Basic understanding of accounting principles.


    • Excellent communication skills including correct grammar and spelling.


    • Excellent computer skills.


    • Excellent customer service skills.

    Preferred:


    • ADP, Kronos and Oracle experience preferred.


    • Healthcare/hospital payroll experience preferred.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Prepare, process and audit accurate and timely payroll using automated payroll systems (ADP, Oracle and Kronos), including preparation of manual checks when necessary.

    2. Respond, research and resolve problems or issues presented by employees and management regarding timekeeping, pay and payroll deductions.

    3. Review and process employee changes as necessary per policy

    4. Establish, track and verify employee related deductions, including wage garnishments

    5. Communicates technical and confidential information to employees and outside agencies upon request. Provides immediate response to requests for clarification and interpretation of data.

    6. Performs other related duties or projects as assigned.
