    Success in the Role:

    You will start with commerce objective for the platform and eventually owning the broader portfolio of the SaaS Platform including Identity etc.

    What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?As a Senior Manager of the VMware's Cloud Services, you will be responsible for developing the platform that delivers a consistent experience and dramatically accelerates the SaaS delivery of all VMware SaaS services.


    You will be leading the transformation of VMware products to SaaS and have direct ownership of this key SaaS enabling platform.

    As someone with strong SaaS delivery experience, you will not only provide technical guidance but take a position of authority on shaping the strategy, plan and ensure rapid delivery of services with quality.

    As part of the Cloud Services Platform team, you will be responsible for the followingLead agile development and deployment processes with improved velocity and increased predictabilityHire and grow an engineering organization with direct and matrixed staff of Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, QA and DevOps Engineers.

    Deliver SaaS enabling platform Identity Platform capabilities in an agile fashion while maintaining high software engineering practices.

    Build the common cloud platform for delivering an integrated and consistent user experience for VMware's growing portfolio of SaaS services including VMware Cloud on AWS and Cross-Cloud Services.

    Engineer highly resilient systems and as a service platform owner be responsible for availability and scalability of these foundational services.

    Work directly with peer R&D groups, IT teams and Business Operations teams to build a joint roadmap that addresses the needs of the products and operations.

    You will initially be part an established team that has a wide range of core platform responsibilities, but the expectation is that you will help blaze a new trail for the team and organization in the area of commerce.

    Qualifications:


    Passionate engineering and operations leader who has delivered and managed cloud applications at global scale under demanding 4 99's SLAMinimum 8-10 years of software development experience and minimum of 5 yeas of engineering management experienceSaaS development experience a must, with proven track record of delivering highly scalable and resilient systems, on tight schedule with distributed teamAn understanding of multi-tenant SaaS, single-tenant, and DevOps software environments; experience in managing organizations through the transition between these environments.

    Strong engineering leadership and ability to attract top talent, motivate people, instill accountability and get best out of the team5+ years of relevant experience with Enterprise Identity and Access Management, multi-factor authentication & authorization solution & directory platformExtensive experience with the design and configuration of Third Party integrations leveraging SAML or OIDC Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environmentStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong technical prowess.


    While regular coding doesn't have to be part of the job, the ability to contribute to architecture/design discussions and make sound technical decisions is critical.

    $139,000
    - $331,000.

    The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience.

    Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
