    Job Summary

    The University of the District of Columbia is seeking a part-time, temporary instructor to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of teaching experience and demonstrate evidence of teaching potential.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teach assigned ESL courses using a variety of teaching methods, including lecture, class discussion, demonstration labs, and projects.
    • Evaluate and select texts and instructional materials; prepare course materials and lesson plans.
    • Deliver course content using a variety of teaching styles and provide interesting and engaging assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts covered.

    Requirements

    • At least one year of teaching experience and must demonstrate evidence of teaching potential.
    • A minimum of two years of corporate/industry experience.
    • Master's degree preferred.
