Overview
The Retail Lead will oversee the organization and cleanliness of
the Pro-Shop and support the team members during hours of
operation. The Retail Lead is responsible for delivering excellent
customer service and act as a role model for the team. This
position must be able to work Weekends, Holidays, and Special
Events, and may open or close the shop.
Experience Required
Essential Responsibilities
Ability to work flexible schedule including the Weekends, Holidays and Special Events. Shiftsinclude both, opening and closing.
Ability to create and maintain positive customer service experience.
Keep all areas of the retail shop, retail office and storerooms neat and organized, includingdaily dusting and vacuuming.
Answer telephone with an energetic and helpful tone.
Assists customers with booking tee times using the EZ Links tee sheet.
Process cash and credit card sales transactions accurately and efficiently, using Jonas.
Assist customers with purchases of merchandise including; cash handling, refunds, exchanges, employee discounts, promotions, credit card purchases and daily shift deposits.
Ensuring that the cash register is in balance throughout the entire day.
Upsell merchandise and the VIP card program.
Answer customers product related questions.
Responsible for supporting, training and developing a high performing team, according to the Club's polices and guidelines.
Assists the Director of Golf in planning, assigning, and directing work.
Works with the Director of Golf with creating purchase orders and processing invoices and credits.
Ensure all operational supplies and merchandise are at PAR level appropriate for the business levels.
Responsible for processing incoming merchandise including all processes in inventory
management system.
Performs all merchandise ordering and receiving. This includes special orders.
Organize and execute special promotions, displays and events to maximize revenue, profit and customer experience for daily retail, tournament/outings and all special events.
Suggests markdowns, transfers or special promotions for retail shop to the Director of Golf.
Assist in data entry for department Open-to-Buy plan & reporting for appropriate merchandise mic and inventory levels.
Conducts and reconciles monthly inventory.
Report and suggest ideas to react to sales trends through the season to help drive sales.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Ensure that any customer or staff related incidents are properly documented through completed incident reports and proper follow up.
Prepares and conducts staff meetings at the direction of the Director of Golf.
Works alongside the Director of Golf to schedule Pro-Shop members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
