    We are a growing, super fast-moving team of Product People looking for some hands-on help in crafting, developing and presenting quantitative analysis that will help our product managers make better decisions using numbers.

    You will be crafting stories with meaningful insights based on data analysis.


    SUMMARY:


    As part of the Rakuten Advertising's software engineering internship program, you will work on a team of interns mentored by senior engineers to deliver production ready and key functionality.

    Your daily and weekly schedule will exactly mirror that of full-time employees attending huddles, providing project updates, conducting demos, and pair programming.

    Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend lightning talks and presentations on topics such as system architecture, automation, and more.

    Your primary project will be related to developer productivity (deployments, CI/CD, tooling). However, you will gain exposure to all areas of development including DevOps, Data Engineering, and User Experience.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Enable deploying applications with Kubernetes Containerize applications with Docker Integrate CircleCI into repositories Create developer productivity tools

    Proficiency in one or more programming languagesNICE TO HAVE :

    Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platformsExperience with MVC/API and/or REST frameworks (e.g. Flask, Express, Laravel, Ruby on Rails)

    Experience with one or many of the following languages:
    Python, TypeScript, GolangExperience with build tools (frontend or backend, e.g. Webpack)Experience with UI libraries/frameworks such as ReactExperience with SQLPrevious internship experienceQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Degree in progress in computer science, software engineering or any other relevant field


    At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $25 - $35 per hour.

    Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
