Staff Geologist - Roseville

GFT is seeking a Senior Geologic Designer to join our Geotechnical Dams and Hydraulics team in Roseville California This role follows a hybrid work model requiring regular attendance at our Roseville office.
The job involves supporting geologic investigations characterizing and evaluating geologic conditions identifying factors that could impact design construction and/or long-term performance of engineered structures Project work includes geologic field reconnaissance mapping to identify characterize geologic hazards logging sampling geotechnical borings developing models through interpretation available surface/subsurface data preparing technical reports The successful candidate will be responsible for the following Compiles synthesizes geologic data from various sources performs field reconnaissance mapping prepares exploration work plans participates subsurface programs logs soil borings rock coring fault trenching test pits applies standard practices interprets correlates maps cross-sections prepares technical reports performs observation activities adheres project quality assurance quality control health safety protocols client coordination attends meetings supports multiple small projects or tasks within larger projects manages resources scope budgets schedules deliverables according to management system
