    Position Summary

    Basic Purpose and Objective:

    Sets up and operate National FXP/Lean Formax 5 and 6 die machines by performing the following duties.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Interpret and analyze set-up blueprints.
    • Utilize various gauges to measure parts according to specifications.
    • Execute measurement tasks and maintain meticulous records on an hourly basis.
    • Implement operator preventative maintenance procedures.
    • Engage in maintenance-oriented preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
    • Collaborate in pit-crew-style set-ups; two employees per set-up.
    • Offer constructive feedback to the Tooling/Engineering team.
    • Regularly partner with materials and maintenance departments to facilitate seamless operations.
    Safety:
    • Adhere strictly to safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the well-being of colleagues.
    • Establish and uphold a secure work environment, promptly addressing and documenting any deviations from company safety standards and regulations.
    • Execute essential safety procedures to prevent harm to oneself and fellow team members.
    • Immediately report all injuries to the Plant Manager and Human Resources department.
    • Exhibit proficient and safe operation of machine shop equipment.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with housekeeping and 6S standards.
    Work Environment:
    • Un-airconditioned, well-ventilated manufacturing facility
    Requirements

    Physical Demands:
    • Able to regularly walk and stand for 10 hours a day.
    • Capable of lifting weights up to fifty (50) pounds intermittently.
    • Visual acuity for detailed work
    • Demonstrates adept manual dexterity, including the ability to maneuver in potentially awkward positions for extended durations, while applying force to hand tools for adjustments through bending, twisting, and squatting.
    • Can demonstrate and exhibit mechanical ability.
    Education and Experience Required:
    • High school diploma or GED
    • 5+ years of Header experience
    Position Type/Expectations of Working Hours:
    • Full time position
    • Regularly scheduled to work 10 hours a day.
    • Must be able to work Monday - Saturday.
