- Serve as the primary business lead working with dealers to engage key customers, drive the sales of whole goods and attachments, coordinate with territory team members, and support local/regional events and associations.
- Collaborate with dealers to manage the sales process and drive sales growth.
- Act as the lead within the assigned territory to implement strategic initiatives and product solutions.
- Drive effective use of incentives and programs to accomplish sales targets.
- Arrange and execute product, application, and sales process training with dealers.
- Coordinate dealer use of product consultants and sales training resources.
- 3 or more years in Construction or off-road equipment industry with sales and marketing experience.
- Experience working with large dealer networks.
- Demonstrated field experience, managing large profitable territory.
- Ability to apply business concepts and tools to tactical and strategic initiatives, working closely with a dealer organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to travel up to 75% mostly within the assigned territory to work with dealers and visit customers, sometimes on short notice or weekends.
- High level understanding of the Construction Industry and products
- Field experience with regular customer contact and knowledge of the dealer/distribution networks.
- Understanding of customer segments, production systems, and their various requirements.
- Proven ability to influence without authority in working with dealers and field managers.
- Experience/skills with sales, handling objections, and effective negotiations.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business Management, Marketing or Engineering)

Overview
This is a field-based remote position, with Albany, NY being centrally located to cover New York and Massachusetts up through Maine. As a TERRITORY SALES MANAGER for John Deere Construction & Forestry located in the Northeast territory, you will work with dealers, engage key customers, drive sales of whole goods and attachments, coordinate with the territory team, and support local/regional events and associations.
