    Job Description:

    Responsibilities:

    Administer the Power BI platform, ensuring its availability, connectivity, and smooth operation during EST (Eastern Standard Time) hours.

    Resolve platform issues promptly, including service unavailability, connectivity problems, and security breaches.

    Monitor and optimize the performance of the Power BI platform, including premium capacities, gateways, and data sources.

    Conduct regular performance stress testing, simulate user scenarios, and provide recommendations for improvement.

    Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan (DRP) for the platform, focusing on availability and business continuity.

    Ensure secure connectivity with various data sources, including SAP (BW, HANA), Oracle, and Redshift.

    Collaborate with network teams to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues impacting the Power BI platform.

    Implement and maintain load balancing concepts to optimize gateway performance.

    Understand and adhere to security protocols defined in Organon IAM SOPs, ensuring the appropriate assignment of roles and permissions.

    Manage and monitor Azure assets related to Power BI, such as PBI KeyVault, PBI SQL DB, and PBI Dataflows.

    Create and maintain documentation related to platform processes, standard operating procedures, and knowledge management.

    Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on platform availability, performance, and issue resolution.

    Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support end-users with platform-related queries and issues.

    Required Qualifications:

    Minimum of 2 years of experience in Power BI administration, issue resolution, and performance monitoring.

    Strong understanding of Power BI premium capacities, gateways, and data sources.

    Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.

    Familiarity with load balancing concepts and their impact on gateway performance.

    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to stakeholders.

    Availability to work during EST hours to support the platform and stakeholders in the designated time zone.

    Knowledge of security concepts and their application in Power BI tenant settings.

    Strong documentation skills, including platform processes, standard operating procedures, and knowledge management.

    Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve platform issues.

    Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies and best practices.

    Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

    Automation experience in Power BI administration, specifically in automating repetitive tasks.

    Experience managing Azure assets related to Power BI, such as PBI KeyVault, PBI SQL DB, and PBI Dataflows.

    Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, and SharePoint for task management, incident resolution, and documentation.

    Experience working with other data sources, such as SAP (BW, HANA), Oracle, and Redshift.

    Understanding of data governance and data quality concepts in Power BI.

    Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure.

    Familiarity with data modeling and data integration techniques in Power BI.

    Experience in training and supporting end-users in Power BI usage.

    Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management principles.
