    Description

    Nuclera is a biotech company based in Cambridge, UK, and Boston, USA, with a goal to enhance human health by providing easier access to proteins. Their current focus is on the eProtein Discovery platform, offering innovative protein expression technology for quicker access to proteins in drug discovery.

    They are looking for a Key Account Manager to expand their customer base on the West Coast. This role involves leveraging your network within the biopharma industry to integrate Nuclera's technology into drug discovery processes, ultimately driving revenue growth.

    About the role

    • Act as the main contact for existing and new accounts in your region.
    • Manage key biopharma accounts through all stages, from prospecting to delivery.
    • Contribute to planning and growth in your territory.
    • Develop a sales plan to meet revenue targets in your region.
    • Build strong relationships with industry leaders and customers.
    • Collaborate with product development to align products with customer needs.
    • Analyze sales data to adapt sales strategies.
    • Represent Nuclera at industry events and build brand presence.
    • Mentor junior salespeople in your region.

    Requirements

    Essential

    • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field, higher degrees are a plus.
    • 5+ years of sales experience in life science, preferably in instrumentation.
    • Proven success in dealing with pharma, biotech, and academia.
    • Experience in technology-focused deals in the life science sector.
    • Ability to manage client relationships and negotiations effectively.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Willingness to travel for business needs.

    Desirable

    • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in biotechnology or related field.
    • Understanding of the pharmaceutical life cycle.
    • Previous experience in capital equipment sales in life sciences.
    • Experience in drug discovery or biopharmaceuticals.
    • Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic environment.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in drug discovery.
