Starting Date: - Regularly review, audit and monitor the employee safety programs to ensure they remain adequate and effective for the ever changing workplace; maintain and post appropriate metrics to communicate the status of the health and safety program throughout the corporation
- Proactively research and implement new and progressive Safety and Health related programs and policies
- Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety.
- Investigate and report findings of any industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures
- Work with Design/Development, Maintenance, and the ME teams to proactively determine the appropriate safeguards for any new process, equipment, or plan/work-cell redesign; meet with Workers Compensation representatives or other outside entities to determine best methods to improve safety and environmental health within the organization
- Lead and facilitate the Safety and Health Committee in successful solicitation of employee feedback, documentation of potential issues/concerns, and then the elimination of any unsafe issue from reoccurring in the workplace
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in the areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and the use of safety equipment; this includes new employee orientation and various certified employee operations programs
- Compile, analyze, and interpret relevant data related to occupational illnesses and/or accidents; assist with any required reporting processes, and communicate status updates to pertinent staff
- Coordinate the safety and environmental regulatory compliance requirements, including data collection, document upkeep and reporting
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team as a resource for various departmental projects and continuous improvement activities
- Security management Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures
- Monitor security compliance and collaborate with Production management, maintenance, administration, and security service providers to maintain and upgrade the security system
- Coordinate with administration for the setup and assignment of personal security badges and access rights for individuals
- Train managers and authorized personnel on protocol for system activation, deactivation and reset
- Support the corporate Sustainability initiatives by assisting in the implementation, training, and maintenance of a sustainability programs
- Support production and quality functions with systematic and detailed problem solving skills leading to properly identifying root causes and then the implementation of irreversible corrective actions
- Setup and facilitate team review meetings, when facility teamwork and cross functional ownership is critical to the success of a project or assignment
- Support all departmental and corporate goals and objectives as required to help grow the business, and ensure our customers always receive superior service and product quality
- Represent and preserve the best interest and integrity of the company whenever and wherever possible

Safety Manager Summary
:
Provide and coordinate the technical support/oversight necessary to maintain the company-wide safety and health, environmental, and security programs. Through close collaboration with HR, Product Development, Maintenance, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, help identify continuous improvement initiatives that would enhance and promote safer and healthier processes, policies, practices, and systems proactively throughout the corporation
