    What You Will Be Doing
    We are currently seeking a dedicated Technician to join our dynamic team

    This position is with the Iraq F-16 CLS team at Erbil, Balad Air Base, Iraq, or Home of Record in the U.

    Job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Provide diagnostics, maintenance and repair of aircraft components at the intermediate and extended intermediate levels of maintenance

    • Assist and train other personnel in the accomplishment of maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on these systems and components in accordance with applicable technical orders
    • Provide advice and assistance in the maintenance and repair of the RIAIS/IAIS and related components as part of the maintenance training task
    • Advise and assist personnel on TCTO accomplishment and documentation
    • Candidate must be a high school graduate or have completed an equivalent program
    Candidate must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in his career field
    Candidate must have at least 4 years' experience with F-16/fighter aircraft maintenance activities

    • Progressive and documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment
    • Documented qualifications in related maintenance fields
    • Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills
    • Must read, write and speak English fluently
    • Must have or be able to rapidly secure a DOD secret clearance
    • Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead
    • This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting
    • Must be a US Citizen
    This position is located at a facility that requires special access

    • SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED
    Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date AND must maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

    • Candidates offered a position must complete a preemployment medical exam that is designed to ensure deployment to the worksite in Iraq, which is located in an austere environment with very limited access to medical care, does not pose a direct threat
    • Candidate must be fully vaccinated for COVID19 to work and travel into Iraq

    Basic Qualifications:
    Candidate must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) with documented experience in F-16 Candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent Avionics Test Station Technician Intermediate repair capability levels of Maintenance

    Desired Skills:
    F-16 System diagnostics along with Test Set Troubleshooting and repair A strong understanding of the maintenance process Perform routine system troubleshooting, installation and repair
    Have a working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and components on the F-16 aircraft Ability to train peers and foreign nationals Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)

    Security Clearance Statement:
    This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely:
    Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
