    Summary of Job:


    Manufacturing Engineer designs and plans manufacturing processes, designs tooling, creates supplemental models and drawings, and maintains part specific data (including manufacturing methods) in the site ERP system.

    As a build to print plant, ME's interpret the customer TDP's for usage in all process design activities and are flowed out in process documentation.

    ME's also maximize process efficiency through the usage of lean manufacturing principles, techniques, and tools.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

    • Store customer TDP data in a PDM environment
    • Interpret customer technical data to plan manufacturing processes
    • Enter and maintain process data in site ERP system
    • Use Solidworks to prepare, review, and approve technical drawings and models
    • Use Solidworks to design and draft fixture and tooling for assembly and manufacturing
    • Review and approve manufacturing work orders
    • Project leader on NPD product for small sized projects
    • Applies basic statistical methods to variety of situations
    • Identifies, recommends and initiates continuous improvement projects in regard to processing, tooling, and product flow

    Education/Experience/Certifications:

    • Knowledge equal to a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering or related field
    • 0 to 3 years of experience
    • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used within manufacturing
