    Title: Warehouse Design/Industrial Engineer

    Location: Lincoln, NE 68512

    Duration: 6 Months, (Possible Extension or Temp to Hire)

    Job Description:

    • We need someone experienced in creating, organizing, and developing a warehouse from scratch.
    • Manage projects to design and optimize warehousing operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Define the internal flow architecture based on the principles.
    • Design local warehouse to client's Global architecture standards - including standardized work instructions, floor layouts, and material storage configurations.
    • Use knowledge of the Lean principles to reduce waste.
    • Warehouse design sizing to meet safety, capacity, quality, and efficiency targets.
    • Ensures safety and ergonomic conditions in warehouse and material handling activities.
    • Define and involve the SAP system with warehouse management configuration.
    • Champion the continuous improvement of the digital transformation of MPH and Warehouse implementing new automation and technology to optimize safety, quality, time, and cost.
    • Route planning for the evacuation of finished products and waste.
    • Audits established processes and procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
    • Develops and prepares relevant reports of findings including recommendations for improvement actions.
    • Manage projects to design and optimize warehousing operations help with the architecture warehouse management system from SAP.
    • Maximize space in a warehouse.
    • How we can pick material and put it in location or racks efficiently.
    • Tools used- warehouse architecture design.

    What qualifications will make you successful?

    • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required and will consider the experience in lieu of a degree.
    • Willing to consider without a bachelors degree as well.
    • SAP experience.
    • 2+ years experience working in a manufacturing facility.
    • Experience with flow architecture for warehouse layout.
    • Experience with Lean methodologies in a warehouse environment, including the digital transformation of MPH (Material Providing & Handling) and Warehouse.
    • Experience with warehouse design sizing.
    • Experience with route planning for the evacuation of finished goods and waste.
    • Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, multicultural team environment.
    • Must be able to work around chemicals, hazardous waste, and all types of equipment safely.

    Additional:

    • Looking for Industrial Engineering skills.
    • Not seeking civil or architecture professionals; this is not a supply chain position but rather an engineering role.
    • Responsible for configuring material storage and receiving products in boxes, then assigning them to different warehouses.
    • Experience with SAP, particularly the WMS module.
    • Desired experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Responsible for moving finished products to warehouse areas and defining routes, creating procedures accordingly.
    • A typical day involves generating reports from WMS to identify errors from past shifts, analyzing discrepancies, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent future occurrences.
    • Proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft products is essential.
