    Working Title Food Service Technician I (Trayline) Role Title Food Service Technician I Hiring Range Negotiable, commensurate with experience. Location Williamsburg - 830 Job Description Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was founded in 1773, with a well-intentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. This state of the art campus, situated on 500 acres, consists of two patient care buildings with 300 patients, and a highly skilled staff of over 900. Eastern State Hospital is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS ) system, and is accredited by the Joint Commission.

    **ESH invites applications for the position of a Food Service Technician I (Trayline).**

    Serve resident meals accurately and attractively using portion control, maintaining acceptable standards of sanitation throughout the plating process and throughout the traylines assigned area of responsibility for sanitation. Will carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

    **Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

    This position is considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency, pandemic, or facility need. All ESH positions are required to work different shifts to include nights, weekends and holidays, and/or overtime.** Minimum Qualifications Experience in serving attractive, healthful food per physicians diet order.

    Ability to work well with others as a member of a team.

    Experience in accurate portions and understand portion control concept.

    Excellent hand and eye coordination.

    Some knowledge of special diets and safe food handling principles.

    Ability to lift heavy objects; bending and stooping; prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces (i.e. concrete, tile, grass, dirt, etc.).

    Must be able to work when needed in various environmental conditions (extreme humidity, heat or cold).

    Must be able to routinely lift 50 lbs or 25% of body weight.
