    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and talented engineer who will join our R&D team to lead the commercialization of ReCarbon's plasma reforming Emission Blade and commercial modules.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Design, build, test, analyze, and report on gas phase chemical reaction experiments in a laboratory setting
    Develop ReCarbon's proprietary reforming reactors resulting in a commercial design
    Become proficient with and assist in documentation and continuous improvement activities regarding ReCarbon's gas reforming process
    Participate in a multidisciplinary team to sustain operations at the pilot and early commercialization scale
    Work closely with and lead 3rd party contractors and project partners to meet project goals


    Skills and Qualifications:
    BS+ degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
    8-10 years of experience in the chemical industry with special attention given to: methane reforming, syngas processing, combustion chemistry, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
    Experience with the design and operation of chemical reactors and other process equipment
    Experience with safety reviews of chemical processes
    Experience with the typical skill sets of the chemical process engineering domain: P&IDs, mass & energy balances, process safety reviews and documentation efforts, process equipment design, selection, and troubleshooting
    Hands-on skills in a laboratory or with chemical plant equipment
    Experience with gas analysis and data acquisition equipment for the field and/or laboratory environments
    Experience with biogas and/or CO2 utilization processes is preferred
    Experience with atmospheric plasma technology is preferred
    Experience with CFD chemistry modeling is a plus
    Experience working in IECEx and ATEX environments is a plus
    Proficient in process hazard analyses (PHA, HAZOP, LOPAZ) a plus

    Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

    Up to 30%, domestic and international
