This direct hire role is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA or New York, NYUSA. We cannot sponsor visas at this time.
Role Details:
The Company seeks a Engineering Program Manager, Video to manage programs that design, build, deploy and support video workflows.
We are responsible for delivering major live events on TV - including football championship, baseball championship, international soccer games, political events, pro fighting, football playoffs, movie award shows and more.
This role is essential to providing our digital audience a great experience every time they press play and will be key to developing industry leading reliability, quality, and overall system performance.
As a program manager, you will be working in an extremely fast paced environment where you'll be expected to learn the ecosystem quickly and help manage programs around automated, resilient video tools for video streaming.
Idea of Responsibilities:
Work closely with Engineering/Product/Project Management and Backend Technology Services teams to manage program deliverables. In this role, you will help maintain program features, manage timelines and deliverable dates and maintain good communication with stakeholders such as
project/engineering
managers and leadership.
Create and maintain timelines for programs supporting video workflows.
Build strategies and lead projects, build alignment across a set of cross-functional staff.
Work with developers across different development environments to capture status.
Confer with colleagues across the organization, studying systems flow, data usage, and dependencies across work processes
Improve operations by implementing changes in policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
Experience managing programs on scalable services development.
Experience managing large programs on digital video streaming for both live and VOD
Familiarity with containers, micro-services and related architectures.
Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Excellent documentation skills, experience with timeline and dependency tracking
Understanding of streaming protocols (HLS/DASH)
