- Provide direct nursing care to patients in various age groups, including neonates, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to create and document individualized care plans for each patient
- Administer medication, including IV medication
- Assist with special tests and procedures, while ensuring proper consent has been obtained
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, and attending workshops
- Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting treatment or situations that they don't understand or may "not seem right"
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Valid RN license in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
- Certifications in area of specialty are a plus
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Professional Rescuers certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
- Working conditions may include handling of chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment
