    Title: Senior Software Engineer
    Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
    This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
    Your Responsibilities
    As a Software Engineer for Global IT Manufacturing Business Capability, located in Chicago, Illinois you will be responsible for designing, developing, and coding end to end digital products that are consumed at and by our factory teams to support their operations. In addition to being an engineer on the team, you will:

    • Engaging in all aspects of the software delivery cycle including the design, build, test, deploy, document and support of software applications
    • Modernizing existing software solutions.
    • Collaborating with other relevant stakeholders and team members to understand business needs and transform them into technical solutions.
    • Supporting a culture of software craftsmanship best practices including Test Automation, Continuous Integration/Deployment, and DevOps methodologies
    • Following industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
    • Mentors junior software engineers on the team

    What Skills You Need

    • 5 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of highly complex software solutions
    • 5 or more years of proficiency in one modern programming language or library (e.g. JavaScript, , Java, etc.)
    • 2 or more years of experience in software test automation techniques (Test Driven Development) and framework (Jest, Mockito, Cypress etc.)
    • 2 or more years working experience leveraging DevOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration,
    • Continuous Delivery/Deployment using tools like Git, Jenkins etc.
    • 2 or more years of working experience of AWS Services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS etc.) and understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation
    • 2 or more years working in database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL)
    • Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
    • Experience designing and developing service-based architecture, micro-services, REST.
    • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
    • Passionate, creative and have the desire to learn new complex technology
    • Maniacal about product quality and takes pride in your craft

    • Experience in modernizing applications from on-premise to the cloud

    Education
    Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
