    In this role, you will lead the repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of bioanalytical equipment with minimum supervision, maintain a clean/safe lab, and ensure the smooth operation of the facility, plus train junior staff.


    The LC-MS group's expertise lies in the quantitation of small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides, proteins, and metabolite biomarkers by various mass spectrometric (LC-MS/MS, LC‐HRMS, hybrid/immunoaffinity mass spec), and hybridization-LC-fluorescence techniques.

    We have been pivotal in supporting most of the HIV drugs, most of the HBV/HCV drugs, one of the first 3 ADCs, and 6 of the last 9 gene therapy products approved by FDA.

    The Job


    • Understand, evaluate, troubleshoot, and fix LC-MS/MS systems and other associated bioanalytical equipment problems.
    • Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibration, and regular maintenance of the LC/MS/MS, LC, LC-UV/FLD, and other associated bioanalytical equipment.
    • Perform validations on equipment.
    • Order, replenish consumables, and maintain inventory of spare parts for LC and MS systems.
    Requirements


    • High School or GED plus ≥6 years relevant industry experience
    • Experience with UHPLC equipment required; Experience with Shimadzu UHPLC is a plus
    • A background or education in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, is considered added value
    • Familiarity with the optics of LC-MS/MS and other analytical equipment
    • Mass Spectrometer experience a plus
