Under general supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the patient and family systematically monitors patients health status implements plan care takes/records blood pressures temperatures pulse weighs patients performs blood glucose monitoring sets up discontinues telemetry monitor collects specimens as directed applies sterile dressings removal sutures staples drains performs stomal irrigation applies colostomy pouches transports patients to treatment centers assists transporters moving patients stretchers wheelchairs keeps rooms clean orderly condition makes beds replaces soiled linen assists restocking supplies equipment assigned reports symptoms significant changes conditions behavior RN assists admission discharge transfer process.
