    salary range:

    We are looking for

    Technical Services Director

    to be based out of our

    Corporate office . The Technical Services Director is responsible for providing technical services and support to customers, sales, operations and other stakeholders. Represents the company in technical issue resolution in and leads new product development projects.

    What You Will Be Doing:


    Direct and oversee technical services, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure the effective execution of departmental objectives and projects.

    Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for technical services that align with the company's overall goals and objectives, driving innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

    Analyze complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and formulate practical solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and minimize downtime.

    Plan, execute, and monitor technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while effectively managing resources and mitigating risks.

    Foster collaboration and maintain effective communication channels with various stakeholders, including engineering, production, quality assurance, senior management, and customers to facilitate the seamless integration of technical services with overall business operations.

    Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and other pertinent meetings as requested to help provide technical knowledge.


    Understand and prioritize customer needs and expectations, ensuring that technical services are aligned with customer requirements and delivering value-added solutions that exceed expectations.

    Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements, proactively seeking opportunities for professional growth and applying acquired knowledge to enhance technical capabilities and processes.

    Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, implementing measures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment while driving initiatives for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of technical services, conducting regular assessments and implementing corrective actions as necessary to optimize performance and achieve operational excellence.

    Develop and manage departmental budgets, allocating resources efficiently and effectively to support technical initiatives while maximizing cost-effectiveness and return on investment.

    Travels to support customers and sales as needed.


    Skills You Bring:
    Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or other relevant field, from an accredited college or university,
    Minimum of 5 years of direct operational experience in coated, tempered and/or insulated glass preferred.
    Experienced in a technical sales facing and application support role/environment.
    Must possess good technical report writing and presentation skills with a strong customer service, action-orientation required.

    Must possess strong organizational skills, and a professional demeanor with a high energy level and the ability to adapt effectively in a dynamic changing environment.

    Must possess above average problem-solving skills.
    Proficiency in MS Office applications required.
