    What You Will Do
    • Assist customers with returns and finding suitable replacements.
    • Ensure product quality, safety standards, and handle returns efficiently.
    • Follow safe work practices and manage returned items properly.
    • Maintain accurate inventory and prepare products for customers.
    • Validate the movement of merchandise in and out of the store.

    The Back-End Clerk at Lowe's is responsible for processing returns, managing Centralized Return to Vendor procedures, overseeing item disposal, coordinating replacements with vendors, restocking merchandise, and ensuring successful freight operations.

    In this role, you will be involved in handling shipment paperwork, organizing stock, scheduling deliveries, and verifying order accuracy.

    As a Back-End Clerk, you will spend a significant amount of time communicating with customers, vendors, and manufacturers. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations.

    To excel in this position, you must be well-organized and detail-oriented.


    Travel Requirements:

    While travel is not frequent, occasional trips may be necessary for meetings, training sessions, or to support other store locations.


    What We're Looking For
    • Available for Full-Time or Part-Time hours.
    Part-Time:

    Typically scheduled for 25 to 40 hours per week based on business needs.

    • Availability for evening shifts and occasional weekends.
    • Physical capability to perform various job-related tasks.
    • Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds independently.

    What You Need To Succeed

    • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
    • Sales-related licensure may be required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 1 year of experience in merchandise processing and filing.
    • 1 year of inventory management experience.
    • 6 months of warehouse data entry or bookkeeping experience.
    • 6 months of vendor or customer communication in a retail setting.
    • 6 months of retail return processing experience.

    Pay Range: $18.40 per hour (CA, CO, HI, NJ, NY, WA)

    Starting pay rate may vary based on position, location, and qualifications.
