    LaBella has an immediate opening for a Municipal Engineering Services Team Leader. Reporting to the Buffalo Regional Civil leader, this position is responsible for assisting with business development activities, including proposal writing, presentation preparation, client outreach, and client management. In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Municipal Engineer to assist with mentoring and coaching our talented staff. The chosen candidate will also be expected to effectively manage projects, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of project managers, design professionals and technical support staff to successfully serve public sector (Municipal) clients and projects throughout the Western New York region. The position is located in our Buffalo, NY office.

    The candidate will be organized, have a positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and possess strong leadership skills.

    Duties

    • Business development and marketing
    • Preparing proposals
    • Client management
    • Project management
    • Assist Group Leaders with work assignments, scheduling and quality control
    • Interface and establish rapport with clients and approval agencies
    • Become actively involved with local, state and/or national professional associations
    • Work with Regional Civil Leader to achieve financial and business development goals

    Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

    The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

    Requirements

    • 15+ years of civil/municipal engineering experience
    • Minimum 5 years in a staff management role
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related degree
    • A current NYS Professional Engineer license
    • A thorough knowledge of our industry (with NYS experience preferred) and regulatory programs
    • Solid organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively through verbal and written communications. Public presentation skills are essential
    • Track record of developing good working relationships with municipal, industrial, and/or institutional clients
    • Effective communication skills using oral, graphic and written forms
    • Competency in the Microsoft Office suite required
    • AutoCAD competency desirable
