Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Performing a variety of fire suppression activities at the fire scene, including laying and connecting hose, holding nozzles and directing water streams, raising and climbing ladders.
Operating fire suppression and/or emergency assistance equipment. Performing emergency rescue activities at emergency scenes. Performing fire safety inspections and identifying code violations. Perform inter-facility transports and EMS or Fire standby assignments.
Administer First Aid at emergency scenes.
Qualifications:
Desirable qualifications and certifications include certified Haz-Mat Technician and/or Technical Rescue Certificate.
May be scheduled to work an average of up to 30 hours per week. Part-time employees may not work in excess of 1,560 hours in any calendar year.
