    Project Coordinator (PC)

    sonnen seeks to hire a Project Coordinator to join the Global Research and Development team based out of our Atlanta InnovationHub to aid in the execution of a portfolio of projects focused on the development of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and relevant components. The InnovationHub presents a unique opportunity for the Project Manager to manage product development projects through sonnen's Product Device Implementation Process from conception into production and new product introduction.

    The ideal candidate for this position is an organized and forward-thinking individual with hands-on experience managing the introduction of hardware power electronic products to market.

    This position requires expertise of Cross Functional exposure with a verifiable record of results within New Product Development in industries like automotive, batteries, ESS, UPS, Medical, or consumer electronics.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Primary point of communication interface to the stakeholders for respective Programs & Projects Globally.
    • Manage Project Core Team Meetings with cross functional teams to monitor, control, and provide clear direction, communication and feedback on program tasks and report.
    • Possesses the interpersonal skills to build relationships with key areas responsible for the decision-making process.
    • Define Project Scope, Milestones, timing plans and resource allocation.
    • Prepares budget estimates and a detailed project plans for projects and their associated Project Phases
    • Preparation and communication of program status meetings to management steering committee and escalation of critical issues.
    • Coordinating / monitoring Programs and project documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget, production, quality deliverables, and corrective action initiatives.
    • Coordinate Technical design reviews and Project gate reviews.
    • Support continuous improvement projects, VA/VE activities.
    • Project Change Management
    • Support the PMO on new ideas and continuous improvement plans defining better processes as needed.
    • Lessons learned database maintenance.
    • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    • Some travel required, up to 20% of the time.
    • Apply knowledge of key Project Management processes

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related technical field
    • Experience of cross functional exposure with a progression within project management, product engineering, or manufacturing engineering with a verifiable record of results
    • Proven experience with Project Management Methodology
    • Must have a good understanding of cross-functional responsibilities and their required deliverables.
    • Demonstrated leadership capability
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Project and Process Change Management
    • Must possess advanced usage of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • APQP, PMO experience desired
