Job summary
The Dakota County Transportation Department is currently seeking candidates to fill a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager position in the Project Management unit.The project manager will communicate and act as the project spokesperson to internal staff external stakeholders partner agencies and the County Board on issues related to the design right of way environmental approvals public engagement balance project needs scope time cost risk quality maintain a positive environment lead diverse customer stakeholder expectations represent County interests plans projects Trunk Highway transit multi-modal planning operations state regional local agencies provide general direction assists plan budget preparation work development monitoring entire lifecycle.
- Represent County during study phase preliminary design final design construction projects reviewing proposed layouts plans specifications manage consultant progress expenditures reviews elements budget compliance negotiate timely manner change orders contract amendments services coordinate review studies areas collate comments participate value engineering estimating adjustment process.
