STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Promotes and maintains patients health by providing dental services

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assesses patient health by interviewing patient, performing visual examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical and dental health histories;2. Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting the test results;3. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records;4.

Performs therapeutic procedures by ordering and/or administering injections, suturing, managing wounds and infections, and performing corrective, preventive and/or restorative procedures;5.

Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, providing counseling on problems of daily care, and promoting wellness and health maintenance;6.

Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans;7. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols;8. Other duties as assignedQualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalency;Bachelors Degree;Doctor of Dentistry degree;Current Arizona State DDS or DMD license;One to three years experience in a Dentist capacity
