    Description

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Network and Computer Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation of various

    communications platforms, computer networks, and integrations used by the organization.

    They provide planning, organization, engineering, and support for critical communication

    systems, such as the voice over IP (VoIP) telephone systems, electronic fax (eFAX), wide area

    networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), virtual private network (VPN), network

    segments (VLANs), and other data communication systems.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


    • Proficiency with various modem computer networking protocols and platforms


    • Need experience on software like Nextiva and OpenText.


    • Must have 5-10 years of experience with IVR (Integrated Voice Recognition System) and

    NICE to have artificial intelligence or Conversational Bots.


    • Proficiency with enterprise telephony, VoIP, SIP, eFax, and collaboration platforms


    • Able to manage multiple IT issues effectively


    • Strong interpersonal skills


    • Able to help analyze, develop, plan, recommend, initiate and implement systems and

    solutions


    • Ability to follow IT processes, policies, standards and procedures


    • Effective communication skills (oral and written)


    • Strong troubleshooting, organization and analytical skills.


    • Flexibility to work as required to complete tasks


    • Teamwork orientation and able to collaborate with departments of various disciplines


    • Stress Management/Composure


    • Thoroughness - detail oriented

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


    • 4-8 years of prior relevant experience working in the telecom industry


    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent) preferred


    • Certifications: Network+, CCNA, or relevant certifications in networking or telecom

    preferred


    • Capability to learn a variety of client software packages and databases as required
