The Custodian II performs moderately complex (journey-level) custodial work at Terrell State Hospital cleaning floors dusting disinfects sanitizes maintains a safe healthy environment operates floor maintenance equipment requests restocks supplies assists conducting inspections buildings equipment needed repairs minor building equipment repairs installations maintains assigned custodial equipment good working order outside areas hospital clears trash debris works under general supervision moderate latitude initiative independent judgment.Responsibilities
Cleans dusts disinfects sanitizes floors windows light fixtures ensures proper sanitization disinfection training received cleans maintains floors restrooms nurses station other areas established procedures safety measures maintains interior exterior assigned buildings empties trash reports needed repairs replenishes supplies coaches other custodians inspects assigned buildings areas cleanliness completed work needed minor repairs completes documentation accurate timely manner protects confidential information maintains inventory equipment records helps patients maintain optimal health safe environment self persons served others.Job description
