- Assure that all warehouse employees follow proper safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment as required.
- Assure that all warehouse employees are in daily compliance with plant GMP's, safety and sanitation directives.
- Assure adequate warehouse scheduling and assign and direct warehouse workers to meet operational needs.
- Generate and process BOL for shipments, transfers and receipts.
- Manage receipt and processing of rail deliveries.
- Supports Warehouse Manager to meet shipping schedules, quality, costs, safety, and GMPs as established by plan, budget, company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for interviewing and selection; administering performance appraisals; disciplining staff, and team motivation.
- Communicate regularly with other management on issues that may arise during the day; contribute to solving issues efficiently and effectively.
- Perform daily cycle counts.
- Review, distribute and file appropriate pick lists.
- Verify inventory of finished goods is adequate for current orders.
- Verify all staged loads for accuracy and lot track prior to shipping.
- Complete required daily reporting.
- Check finished goods for any product defects as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse.
- Inspect forklift and other equipment before use, making minor adjustments as needed; inform manager of more complex repairs that may be needed so as to ensure all equipment is operating at all times.
- Participate in and contribute to training programs, as designated by the company, including forklift certifications, which are periodically required to enhance safety, quality, cost, or job performance.
- Conduct meetings with department as necessary.
- Assist Manager with overseeing scanning procedure including staging for raw and packaging materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be qualified to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to complete assignments with minimal direction; good time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving ability, including recommending and taking corrective action.
- Mathematical aptitude sufficient enough to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrate mechanical and basic math and strong computer skills.
- Good clerical and record-keeping skills, including legible handwriting.
- A high degree of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel).
- The ability to interact with external contacts and other employees in a professional and courteous manner.

General Summary

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Business degree desired.
Previous Experience Requirement
A minimum two to three years experience supervising employees in a warehouse setting, preferably in food manufacturing. Previous ERP system experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills
