The Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Partner serves as a financial advisor and advocate to our IoT/ATS division reporting to the VP FP&A Business Partner – IoT/ATS.

The AVP FP&A Business Partner is to support the IoT/ATS global organization including
HSB, relayr and Munich Re in customer engagements, assessing new business opportunities with external partners, construction of business cases including financial models to support the opportunity, conducting due diligence on new business models and assisting in the implementation of new business strategies.

As ATS, Munich Re and relayr expand their IoT offerings, these engagements will focus on various industries and business models outside of insurance such as OEM for example.

This role will also have significant financial reporting responsibilities and interaction with reporting teams at
HSB and Munich Re.

This includes driving the annual planning process with the various business leads as well as quarterly forecasting across the group.

Education and Experience:
A bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field is required or equivalent work experience.
MBA with concentration in Finance, CPA or CFA preferred.
7+ years of overall professional experience required with strong financial analysis skills supporting a business unit.
3+ years of broad operations management experience in the insurance industry preferred; engineering or underwriting experience a plus
Experience presenting complex financial information to senior management in a clear and straight forward manner.

Proven ability to partner with business leaders and external customers, performing data and information analysis leading to business recommendations and decisions.

Strong analytical skills and ability to construct business cases.

Knowledge and Skills:
Strong business acumen and sound technical accounting skills desired
Ability to conduct market research.
Ability to build complex financial models.
Knowledge of general industry and insurance concepts and ability to pick up new concepts quickly desired.

Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Ability to anticipate issues, seek out and analyze information collaboratively to propose solutions.

Excellent customer focus and ability to partner with external and internal customers including, but not limited to Underwriting, Marketing, and Strategic Products.

Results orientated and pragmatic management approach that is continuously focused on execution and problem solving while balancing speed and accuracy.

Strong negotiation skills and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and reprioritize.

Strong communications skills and ability to present to high level audience, able to tell the story through presentations and support with data.

Fluency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word preferred.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Effective problem solver, who anticipates issues, and seeks out and analyzes information collaboratively to propose solutions a plus.
