    Description

    Start May 6th and continues through May. Short-term contract trainer, most of the work is remote but there is travel required to/within Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 14th, 15th.

    Must have a reliable internet connection and computer. We are looking for someone comfortable communicating and being on camera, delivering instruction and training for a temporary project that does require in class room facilitation on the dates above.

    The successful candidate will work with multiple clients providing training in a variety of modalities. The ideal candidate should be a great communicator with the ability to effectively describe complicated information to different audiences. The Training Specialist must be comfortable conducting training sessions physically in classrooms and via different virtual platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, etc.). Organizational skills and a positive attitude are important qualities that the Training Specialist should possess. The Training Specialist must be comfortable navigating with different formats of technology.

    This position is primarily remote, but there are 4 in person days at sites in Indiana.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Deliver virtual technical training programs to clients
    • Conduct seminars, workshops, training sessions, etc.
    • Keep attendance for trainings and other records per client request
    • Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership
    • Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids where needed
    • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
    • Conduct organization-wide needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)

    • Associates degree
    • Two (2) years of proven work experience as a trainer or training facilitator
    • Proven virtual training experience (e-learning)
    • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (esp. PowerPoint & Excel)
    • Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
    • Critical thinking and decision making
    • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
    • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
    • Advanced organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
    • Effective ability to improvise and problem solve under pressure or in unexpected situations
