    **Shaping Audio for a New Generation**

    We're reshaping audio from our state-of-the-art studios in downtown NYC, creating groundbreaking radio programs and podcasts that resonate with listeners worldwide.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute multi-layered marketing plans targeting new audiences for New York Public Radio content and trade events.
    • Lead marketing efforts for newsroom series and podcasts, including regular meetings, audience strategy, marketing plans, partnership cultivation, analysis, tracking, and wrap reports.
    • Manage marketing for The Greene Space and events, including email marketing, paid social/advertising, ticket sales monitoring, and revenue goal achievement.
    • Oversee social, retargeting, and programmatic ad platforms, implement SEO/SEM strategies using Google Ad Words, and write effective copy for advertising, social media, and marketing projects.
    • Analyze campaign effectiveness using analytics tools and work with the Data team to identify trends and make recommendations to Content teams.
    • Maintain 'always on' strategies for platforms like email, paid social, and audio promotion for ongoing audience-building.
    • Oversee design and production of marketing materials for Membership, Development, and Sales.
    • Produce presentations, marketing materials, including video and animation projects, and run 'owned' campaigns on our websites.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
    • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and audience-building.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of common web and social platforms and technologies.
    • Excellent writing and editorial skills, with particular strength in short-form creative advertising and social media copy.
    • A passion for audio and NYPR content.
    • Experience with successful partnership marketing.
    • Familiarity with production for print, web, audio, and video preferred.
    • Basic competency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and In-Design preferred.
    • A creative enthusiasm for experimenting with marketing, paid media, and promotional tactics.
    • A collaborative spirit; a willingness to 'jump into' a wide range of practical and creative efforts to implement a marketing idea and 'make it happen.'

    All positions at New York Public Radio require:

    • The intellectual and emotional depth, maturity, self-confidence, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior leadership, colleagues, staff, and external partners, providing motivation at all levels.
    • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written – with an impressive reputation for building and maintaining relationships across diverse backgrounds.
    • Proficiency in computer, telephone, and office/broadcast equipment usage.
    • Ability to communicate through various methods, including email, internet-based applications for internal and external communications.
    • Affinity for New York Public Radio, WNYC, and/or WQXR content and mission a plus.
    • Compliance with WNYC/WQXR policies and guidelines.
    • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
