    We are looking to add a Sr. Software Engineer to one of our web teams in the Business Cards and Payments space.

    Come be a part of the team that is responsible for the credit card application experience for small business products.

    Our team works with our Product Owners to build features that allow our customers to receive a real time decision on their credit application.

    We're continuing to enhance an existing React based application while actively re-building on a new Angular platform over the coming year in 2024, a fantastic opportunity to help provide an even better customer experience.


    What You'll Do:
    Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systemsPerform software development on Front End Applications leveraging a test-driven development patternOwn the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systemsShare your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering communityCollaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowermentUtilize programming languages like JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, open source frameworks, RESTful web services, and work on cross-browser and cross-device development

    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's DegreeAt least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)


    Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, React or Angular, Node, TypeScript1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service3+ years of experience in open source frameworks2+ years of experience in Agile practicesAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
