    Job Description

    OBJECTIVE:

    Responsible for converting a technology solution concept into a precisely detailed design, ensuring customers receive the CEC Experience from beginning to end.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but not limited to:

    • Interpreting customer needs from post-sale design, and accurately representing those details in AutoCAD.
    • Ongoing internal communication, collaborating with Engineering for seamless handoffs.
    • Collaborating with Field Operations to precisely complete as-builts, updating documentation to reflect any in-field adjustments, and publishing to the as-built database.
    • Maintaining local office plotter and printing supplies.
    • Serving as a resource for various in-house projects.
    • Performing other assigned duties.

    POSITION RESULTS DESCRIPTION:

    • Providing documentation by established due date: > 90%.
    • Maintaining as-built turnaround - > 90% by internal customer due date.
    • Keeping 55% utilization and within budgeted project quoted hours.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    None.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • One year of AutoCAD experience.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Two years of AutoCAD experience.
    • Two OR four-year degree from an accredited institution, with coursework in electrical engineering, telecommunications, networking, or related fields.
    • Experience with CEC products and vendors; EST, Milestone, Genetec, Lenel, Avigilon, Axis, Extron.

    PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and lead effectively at all organizational levels and with staff at remote sites is crucial.
    • Strong problem-solving and creative skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate analyses.
    • Excellent Presentation Skills for both large and small groups.
    • High levels of integrity, dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

    OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Thorough knowledge of communication systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.
    • Proficiency in PC operations (Windows environment), Microsoft Visio, and strong Excel proficiency.
    • Certification in Autodesk Revit / BIM is advantageous.
    • Experience with PDF editors such as Bluebeam Revu or Adobe.

    PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Effective communication in English is necessary for this role.
    • Job duties include standing, walking, climbing, sitting, and manual dexterity.
    • Some light lifting is required, as well as reaching, grasping, and carrying objects.
    • Visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
    • Above-average intellect and excellent judgment for effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.
    • Primarily office-based work environment with moderate noise levels.
    • While most work is indoors, occasional outdoor tasks may be exposed to seasonal weather changes.
