- Develop and implement a comprehensive recreation program that meets the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
- Plan and organize a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, music and dance, exercise classes, and outings.
- Collaborate with staff, residents, and family members to identify and prioritize recreational preferences and interests.
- Coordinate special events and celebrations, such as holiday parties, birthday celebrations, and themed events.
- Maintain accurate records of program attendance, resident participation, and feedback.
- Ensure that all recreational programs comply with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred.
- Experience in recreational programming, preferably in a long-term care or senior living setting.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
