Job Description
A Pleasanton, California based client is seeking an experienced, collaborative family practice physician to join its primary care team at a community health center.
An ideal candidate works well amongst an interdisciplinary team, is bilingual in Spanish and English (not a requirement) and can be a new graduate.
This role involves providing primary care services to a community in an outpatient setting.Required Qualifications
Attended an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
Completed an accredited residency program
DEA certificate
Board certification or eligible in internal medicine or family medicine
BLS certification
Responsibilities
Assess patient health by performing physical examinations and taking patient history
Supervises assigned NP and PA staff on clinical responsibilities
Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans
Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy
Assist with utilization review, quality assurance, and risk management programs
