    Are you interested in putting your product skills to work?


    The Leidos Office of Technology has openings for talented Devops Engineer Interns to come work in our state of the art facility in Morgantown, WV supporting Leidos' proprietary product LEAF.

    During your internship, you will support the continuous integration and continuous delivery of our diverse suite of software products by applying best practices for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and automated software deployments.


    You will leverage open-source and fit-for-purpose tools to manage private and public cloud infrastructures via code, designing reusable infrastructure components for scalable, highly-available, secure architectures for cloud-based applications.

    We will train you to and give you the opportunity to work on real programs and projects.

    To qualify, candidates must meet the following requirements for onsite work:
    Must be able to relocate and work in Morgantown, WV

    During school year expected to be onsite 20 hours a week.

    During summer, expected to be onsite and 40 hours a week.

    Primary Responsibilities
    Design and develop mission critical cloud system architectures.

    Support the packaging and deployment of releases.

    Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within broadly defined parameters.

    Use Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and GitLab to manage work and collaborate with your teams.

    Support creation and updating of relevant documentation for design, development and testing.

    Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them.

    Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics.

    Develop maintainable code that matches specification.

    Develop automated tests leveraging a continuous integration process.

    Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

    Basic Qualifications
    Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a 3.0 GPA.

    Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps concepts and best practices.

    Fundamental background with software design patterns and programming languages.

    Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, including the ability to logically create structure and order from unstructured inputs.


    Self-starter that is able to work independently while possessing the communication skills to work collaboratively with software development teams and external customers.

    Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

    U.S. Citizenship is required.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Familiarity with containers and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes

    Familiarity with version control systems such as Git


    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $44, $79,900.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
