    The Job Details:

    The Customer Service/Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for communicating effectively with customers regarding the inbound and outbound movements of their product.

    The position involves telephone work as well as electronic communication via fax and email. Typing and computer use is necessary for processing out bound customer orders.

    The position also involves processing inbound and outbound loads at the shipping and receiving window during times of heavy volume and coverage as needed.


    Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    • Provide customers with information regarding their inventory
    • Perform shipping and receiving duties
    • Maintain professional relationships with the carriers and customers
    • Follow all customer requirements and preparation for the shipment of the customers inventory out of the facility
    • Check in and out all truck drivers
    • Assign Dock Doors
    • Ensure all paperwork is filled out properly
    • Place driver's license information and or seal numbers in the system
    • Fill out pallet receipts for pallet accounts and/or bill for pallets
    • Must report overages, shortages, defective materials or questionable condiments to the department supervisor
    • Required to produce accurate inbound paperwork so warehouse can confirm delivery of products
    • Notification and/or delivery of incoming product to end user.
    • Each receipt must have documentation (Packing Slip etc.) to support computer system entries.
    • Requires completion of daily Shipping/Receiving entries in computer system.
    • Requires preparation of paper work in system, management of product to be shipped or received.
    • Responsible for knowledge of product location within warehouse.
    • Confirm all orders are loaded.
    • Ensure the driver review bill documentation and confirm the driver has all the correct paperwork for the load with the correct destination.

    What We Are Looking For:

    Education


    • High School Diploma or GED

    Experience


    • - 3 years preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
    • Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database.
