- First and foremost, follow the Preston Automotive Group's
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, and other components as needed.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Stay up to date with the latest automotive technologies and industry advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal training or certification in diesel technology preferred.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of diesel engine systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical DemandsDuties are performed on the dealership premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives.
