    Job Description

    The mission of the Ambulatory Care Department is to deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and quality patient care. The mission is consistent with the hospital's mission, which is to deliver a wide variety of community-oriented health services/programs. Some duties include: Prior Authorizations, Reminder calls, post visit calls, assist patients with obtaining additional services, assisting with filling out forms and patient letters, Liaison between services and the patients, rescheduling patients and triaging.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Education Required - HS Diploma or Equivalence
    2. License/Certification/Registration(s) Required - Graduate from an Approved Medical Assistant Program
    3. Experience/Skills Required
    • Previous experience in a medical setting or 2 years relevant work experience preferred
    • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills
    • Bilingual preferred
    • Knowledge of computer technology preferred. Successful completion of St. Barnabas Hospital orientation.
