    Role description:


    Arcadis is seeking a Construction Manager for our Fairbanks, Alaska office with 5+ years' experience in the construction industry, including a minimum of 2 years' working with managing design and construction for vertical construction and utility projects.


    Role accountabilities:

    Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    Work with the Alaska Arcadis Team to provide on-site construction quality assurance to ensure project is being constructed per design drawings and specifications

    Periodic travel to Rural Alaska Villages to observe, photograph and develop reports for construction work with respect to design drawings and specifications

    Participate in project meetings with Owner, Design Team, and Contractor

    Attend and participate in contractor preconstruction, preparatory, coordination and safety meetings

    Review and approve Contractor schedules and payment applications

    Review change orders on behalf of the Owner

    Evaluate RFIs, submittals and Field Memos for cost impact

    Conduct daily site visits; prepare daily reports of project activities with narrative and photos

    Review test reports and inspections and notify the Owner, the Architect, and the Contractor of any deficiencies in the work of which the Owner's Rep becomes aware

    Support project closeout, provide substantial and final inspections on project and coordinate punch list process

    Perform other job-related duties as assigned

    Review and provide recommendations to Owner regarding the contractor's Administrative, Informational and Technical Submittals

    Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, clients and the public using principles of good customer services


    Qualifications & Experience:

    Required Qualifications:
    5 Years of Experience in the construction industry, 2 years in a design and/or construction management role

    Valid Driver's License

    Must work in Fairbanks, Alaska

    Ability to obtain access onto a U.S. Military Installation

    Commitment to Health and Safety


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Engineering or Construction Management Degree

    Project Management Professional

    USACE Construction Quality Management Training for Contractors
