    Lead Accountant Financial Reporting ($85k-$125k plus 15%)

    LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Accountant for a well-established organization in the Austin, Texas area.     Requirements:

    • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
    • Experience preparing quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting in accordance with GAAP, statutory and SEC requirements.
    • Five or more years of experience in accounting.
    • Prior experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
    • Life insurance experience
    • Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
    • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
    • Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Compile financial and accounting data to support enterprise reporting needs.
    • Review various financial ratios and calculations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze statistical information and reports for the bank board.
    • Prepare the monthly Financial Performance Review for the Board of Directors.
    • Oversee the Corporate Reporting Module (CRM) for various reports.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for various stakeholders.
    • Act as a backup for other Senior Accountants in the Financial Reporting Department.
    • Research and apply accounting concepts and theories to current issues.
    • Prepare special reports as assigned by management.
    • Perform senior-level financial data analysis and reporting using specialized software applications.
