    Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

    12 Hour Any


    Hours per Week:
    36 (OT after 40 hours)


    Estimated Weekly Salary Range:
    $7,850-$8,410

    Job Requirements / Qualifications


    Board Certification:
    Required - Board Certified Radiation Oncologist


    Licensure:
    Active, unrestricted physician license required (IMLC bids not allowed)


    Experience:
    No minimum years of clinical experience required; prior locum tenens or travel physician experience a plus


    Fellowship:
    Radiation Oncology fellowship preferred


    Clinical Competencies:
    Proven proficiency with radiation oncology techniques and treatment planning

    Core Clinical Skills (Required)

    External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT) with Linear Accelerator (LINAC)

    RapidArc / VMAT

    Electrons

    Conventional / Conformal Radiation Therapy

    Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)

    Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)

    Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

    Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS - all types)

    Hyper altered fractionation

    Treatment planning:
    conventional planning, beam shaping (MLC), 3D CRT, IMRT

    PET-CT or MRI image fusion

    Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI)

    Responsibilities

    Provide high-quality locum tenens radiation oncology coverage during scheduled vacation and coverage periods

    Evaluate patients, develop and manage radiation treatment plans, and oversee on-treatment care

    Collaborate closely with radiation therapists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, surgeons, medical oncology, and nursing staff to support multidisciplinary care

    Use required modalities and techniques (EBRT/LINAC, VMAT, IMRT/IGRT, SBRT, SRS) in accordance with clinical protocols and standards

    Document clinical encounters, treatment decisions, and follow-up plans accurately and in a timely manner in the medical record

    Ensure smooth continuity of care by coordinating handoffs before and after each coverage week

    Participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary case reviews as needed
