    The Associate Director, Medical Information provides leadership to the Medical Information (Med Info) Engagement team and strategize with the team lead to make the team efficient through training, alerts, and development of new processes.

    In this role the AD will keep a positive outlook and help manage change expectations.

    They will provide timely, accurate and balanced first point of contact medical/scientific and technical information for all incoming medical questions ; document medical inquiries; create positive customer interactions; capture potential adverse events; and provide disease state and product training to internal groups.

    In this role, the AD will provide high quality review of promotional materials involving Novartis Established Meds products.

    They must ensure materials are scientifically accurate, current, and properly substantiated and referenced; ensure material is scientifically rigorous and presented with appropriate context; and endure material is scientifically understandable for the intended customer audience, and aligned with the information requests of HCPs.


    Your responsibilities:

    Drive and lead specific Medical Information services across assigned products to ensure quality across products and Lead in a professional manner and support the Medical Information Engagement Team Lead Work collaboratively with other Med Info organizations including CIC, and Global MI Support best in class product launches with appropriate training Support technology updates, engage in UATs, and ensure the new functionality aligns with the need of the team Provide training with internal and external customers for the established products and when needed priority products Monitor and share outcome metrics for the HCP contact center Support team with IT issues and identify speedy resolution QA telephony inquiries on a monthly basis QA CMC and Established Meds Hyderabad work for response documents, inquiry fulfillment and report any issues with the Med Info Engagement team lead Work with Med Info Engagement team lead to ensure updates for affiliated working practice and special processes documents Lead and share lead responsibilities with the Med Info Engagement team monthly meetings providing topics and understanding priorities and time limitations Communicate with Med Info team updates/alerts with clear guidance and instruction in accordance with regulatory and compliance guidelines Provide support on other Medical Information projects as neededThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between: $158,400 - $237,600/year however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period.

    Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities.

    The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

    Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

    If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    Candidates must be onsite in the East Hanover Office a few days per week.

    Minimum requirementsWhat you will bring to the role:

    Bring best in class Medical Information services to support Medical Units, the US Medical Strategy Ensure that Med Info Engagement team members and contractors are meeting telephony QA, inquiry QA, and Manager QA Ensure business policies related to medical communication and information are within regulatory guidelines Ensure launch excellence through timely, high-quality deliverables in line with the medical strategy for supported products Maintain timely queue assignment and deliver high quality responses PharmD, healthcare-related PhD, or MD is required with industry, clinical, or related medical information experience preferred Post-graduate specialty training is desirable 3 to 5 years of experience in a drug information setting is preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and pharmacotherapeutics.

    Strong knowledge of drug information processes, adverse event and product complaint reporting regulations a must.
