Job Description:
The Finance Manager oversees all aspects of daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while driving process optimization and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
This role combines hands-on financial management with leadership in reporting, systems, and team development, ideally bringing a background in consumer-packaged goods or retail environments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies while maintaining accuracy and efficiency across financial transactions.
Leads the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial statements, reports, KPIs, and variance analyses to guide leadership decisions.
Manages budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes, supporting both short-term and long-term strategic planning.
Serves as primary liaison with external auditors and the company's CPA firm, ensuring audit readiness and transparent financial reporting.
Optimizes ERP and NetSuite functionality to strengthen controls, automate reporting, and integrate data across manufacturing, retail, and supply chain operations.
Develops and maintains financial models, ROI analyses, and dashboards to support strategic initiatives, cost management, and business expansion.Partners cross-functionally with manufacturing, retail, and executive teams to align financial insights with operational and growth objectives.
Driving continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance organizational efficiency and accountability.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Skills / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA certification preferred.
At least seven years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial planning.
Prior experience in retail or manufacturing finance, strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing financial operations and leading teams in a dynamic environment.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to guide a high-performing finance team.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial management practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and macros.
Demonstrated experience with ERP systems; NetSuite proficiency required.
Proven track record in process automation, systems optimization, and continuous improvement.
