Job Description

Servicing of manual and CNC machines. Install digital readout systems and CNC retrofits on machine in the metal cutting industry. Some troubleshooting of systems will be required. Job requires travel, in which mileage will be paid. Amount of pay will be dependent on experience.

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in the metal-cutting industry. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing both manual and CNC machines, installing digital readout systems, and performing CNC retrofits on various machines. Troubleshooting abilities and a willingness to travel are essential for success in this role. We offer mileage reimbursement for travel-related expenses.

Responsibilities:

Service manual and CNC machines in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
Install, configure, and calibrate digital readout systems and CNC retrofits on machines.
Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance and longevity.
Provide technical support and training to customers on machine operation and maintenance.
Document service and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve service processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site and in the field.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in the metal cutting industry.
Proficiency in servicing manual and CNC machines, including installation and retrofitting.
Familiarity with digital readout systems and CNC programming is highly desirable.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to travel extensively and work independently.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
Technical degree or certification in machining, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
